AGUIKE, an international singer-songwriter music producer from Nigeria based in New York, is a highly acclaimed songwriter, singer, and music producer. Throughout his career, his trajectory of songwriting has continuously risen. Since the 90s, when he first burst onto the Nigerian music scene with his delightful Afro rhumba calypso-influenced dance rhythms and melodies, AGUIKE has […]
I was a huge fan of Lauren James in this current FIFA World Cup, which ends today. However, my admiration quickly turned to shock when she committed a blatant and disgraceful foul against Nigeria’s Falcons player, Michelle Chiwendu Alozie. The referee should have immediately issued a red card to Lauren James without needing assistance from […]
I am excited for the Super Falcons of Nigeria because they will catch the attention of scouts and prominent club owners as they continue to excel. Their outstanding victory over Australia, the host nation of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, is truly remarkable. They have sent a strong message to other teams in this […]
I recently expressed my concerns about the arrest and subsequent detention of Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank. It is important to note that my views on this matter are objective and unbiased. The Department of State Services (D.S.S) has officially charged Emefiele with various offenses, including illegal possession of firearms and […]
Happy birthday to my beloved friend, sister, and one of Africa’s finest actresses, Clarion Chukwurah. In the Nigerian entertainment industry, many performers crash in to seek fame and money but eventually pursue other endeavors. In the past, it was evident that numerous entertainers, musicians, and actors who made the most noise in our homeland lacked […]
She is not only the best African tennis player but also one of the top ten players in the world. I have witnessed her triumphs and defeats when it truly mattered. Ons Jabeur, hailing from Tunisia, holds the distinction of being the first Arabic woman professional tennis player. At 28 years old, she has amassed […]
A few days ago, while doing strength training at my YMCA gym in Cross Island, New York, I had my earbuds and listened to music. This allowed me to block out the noise of people dropping dumbbells. However, a friend approached me on this particular day, and I decided to pause my music. As we […]
After perusing my reflections on the recent African movie series, Fatal Seduction, many fans felt I was too lenient towards the producers. Allow me to clarify: Fatal Seduction’s version of The Dark Desire is not the first time African movie producers have borrowed an entire script from a movie that most African viewers may not […]
